The Rural Food Company Training Network is an Accel funded programme designed to help rurally based food producers and businesses achieve growth and sustainability by providing training to owners and staff. In collaboration with the Listowel Food Fair the Rural Food Company Training Network is organising an Introduction to Food Production course.

The course focuses on the following areas:

Food Sector legislation
Sourcing of information/contact with relevant authorities
Premises design – high, medium and low care food premises
Hygiene and Food Safety requirements
HACCP – Principles and Pre-requisites
Product Development
Product labelling including detail on Allergens
Waste Management
Customer Care& Dealing with Retailers
